The problem
A familiar naval strategy game becomes more interesting when the opponent can reason about uncertainty. GhostFleet explores how to make that intelligence playable, understandable, and challenging.
My role
Independent product builder using AI-assisted development. I shaped the experience and explored how probability, simulation, and player feedback could come together in a browser game.
Approach
The project draws on Monte Carlo simulation, probability-density mapping, and Bayesian inference. The public experience supports solo play against AI and challenging a friend using a room code. Fleet placement precedes turn-based combat: a simple interaction model around a more complex reasoning problem.
Current status
A publicly accessible, playable product. The live site includes a Wraith AI challenge and instructions for deployment, combat, and winning. Explore the product to see the current experience.
Constraints
Game intelligence needs to translate into a good player experience, rather than simply maximising difficulty. No player, revenue, retention, or AI win-rate claims are presented here.
